How to conduct a visual inspection before using surgical gloves
There are many types of surgical gloves, and they should be selected based on their protective function. Waterproof and acid alkali resistant gloves should be carefully inspected before application.
When choosing surgical gloves, it is necessary for everyone to master them. The application and common problems of typical surgical gloves are easy to use and must be mastered. The glove editor believes that this is of great help for the selection and application of surgical gloves.
There are many types of surgical gloves, and they should be selected based on their protective function. Protective objects should be established, and then carefully selected. Like acid and alkali resistant gloves, there are those that are resistant to strong acids (alkalis), some that are only resistant to low concentrations of acids (alkalis), and some that are resistant to organic solvents and chemical reagents. Therefore, it cannot be used indiscriminately to prevent accidents.
2. Waterproof and acid alkali resistant gloves should be carefully observed for any damage to the surface before use. A simple method is to blow air into the gloves, pinch the opening with your hand, and observe for any air leakage. If there is steam leakage, it cannot be applied.
3. Surgical gloves made of rubber, plastic, and other materials should be cleaned and dried after use. High temperatures should be avoided during storage, and talcum powder should be sprinkled on the products to prevent sticking.
4. Insulated gloves should be regularly inspected for their electrical insulation properties, and those that do not meet the requirements cannot be used.
5. Touching strong oxidizing acids such as nitric acid, chromic acid, etc. can cause the product to become brittle, discolored, and early damaged due to the strong oxidizing effect. High concentrations of strong oxidizing acids can even cause erosion, and attention should be paid to observation.
6. Latex industrial gloves are mainly used for weak acids, low concentrations of sulfuric acid, and various salts. Do not touch strong oxidizing acids (nitric acid, etc.).
Insulated gloves are a type of electrical safety equipment that immediately protects personal safety and must maintain stable characteristics. Therefore, the following appearance inspections should be conducted before application:
(1) Do insulated gloves comply with regulatory standards.
(2) Whether the insulated gloves are intact, whether the surface is damaged, and whether they are clean; Dust should be wiped clean; Damaged and charcoal printed items are not applicable.
(3) Insulated gloves are rubber products and must not have defects such as external injuries, cracks, holes, bubbles, burrs, scratches, etc. If defects are found, they should be stopped and replaced immediately.
(4) Check if the voltage level of the insulated gloves matches that of the simulated operating equipment. The voltage level of the insulated gloves should be equal to or higher than that of the simulated operating electrical equipment.
